:P Guess WHAT!!!! :D I've recently discovered what I want to be! :) A COUNTRY GIRL!!! :D
I always knew it, I just never did much about it.

But! After seeing that Hannah-Montana Movie(Yeah! Who woulda known!!) yesterday, I've decided to go all out!!

I wanna act like a country girl!
I wanna look like a country girl!
I wanna think and feel like a country girl!
I wanna BE a country girl!! :)

So! There ya have it! :D :)
We went to a thrift store the other day and I found a few articles of clothing for my new Country Girl Wardrobe!! :D And I'm going for a 1950's Country girl look. I got my house clothes, now I needa sew myself some overalls!, :D for my work clothes! :)

Well!! I've decided that this blog will only have my historical journey and other related posts! No Family post or farm sorta posts! Those will be at my normal blog! zarco-senorita.blogspot.com ! :)
Anyways! I've made my first regency gown!!! :D YAY!! :P Its white(sheets actually! :P ) with long sleeves and a mid length neckline(not real high and not low!). I'm VERY pleased with it! :D :P We might dye it a darkish brown! We'll see though! ;)
I've also started on a winter spencer Of which I made the pattern for! :) I'm making the spencer out of an old wool army blanket! :P It is turning out REALLY nice! I still have a LONG wayt to go though on my regency wardrobe!! :S

I think once(if) I get to the 1920's (I plan on doing Colonial, Regency, Fort Scott, Titanic and then 1920's(each for a year)) I'll Cut my hair like this and send all my cut hair to some place like Locks of Love. :) And then I won't cut for another 4 years or longer! :) ......I think.... :P

Well! Since May 17th (I think??) I've been in either Wisconsin at my cousins or in Minnesota at my Grandma and Grandpa's! Its been lots of fun! But I'm definitly missing my family and my normal way of life! :P :) So! I plan on heading home the 16th of june! Like a week from now! :D :P :)

My cousins cat had kittens and I MISSED IT!!!!!! D': Lol! But they are CuTEE!!! I miss my friends!! *hugs all wonderful forum people TiEEEGHT!!!!!!* Love you!!! :D

I'm REALLY wanting to meet you all up east too!! :D :) We REALLY need to plan a HUGE Forum meeting!!! :D a Sleepover of something!! :D :P :) First I gotta go home for a while though!!! :P :)

*Gasp again!!* Seconds after I posted my Photo Shoot post I got this comment! BAD!!! We clicked it and it sucked down our window and said our computer was infected and we needed to download this virus software. Thats a BIG red Flag!!! Our computer is NOT infected and if we downloaded it, it probably would have caused an infection!! What daddy did was just force quit the browser. He said that even if we clicked the "cancel" bottom or the little x to close the little window it may have tried to give us a virus. Luckily we have Apple computers so just about all the viruses won't work. Thought I'd warn you all though!!! :) Beware!! :)

Okay! so I needed a picture of myself for the Lupine Ranch gazette! But I didn't have any I liked,.. SO! I had myself a Photo Shoot!! None of the pictures show my clothes very well since I had to be the model and the photographer! But I thought it was fun anyways! :P Hope you enjoy!!! :D

Please forgive me for not posting in FOREVER!!!! :'( Everyones been sick lately!,, except for me,.... Therefore I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off!! (And If you've ever seen that you'll know what I mean,! :P ) I've also been trying to sew! ANd I'm afraid I haven't gotten much done,... :'( I'm determined to finish another gown though be for march!!! Yes I have one gown, but It not real period correct I don't think,.. Its just a simplicity pattern one, but it does "look" Colonial! :P

Our goats have been having babies like Crazy the past week or so!! :D :D :D !!! YAY! I love babies! They are SOOO CUTE!! So far we have 13 little kids!! lol! 5 boys and 8 girls!!! YAY!! The Girls are WINNING!! :D LOL!!

Well! We are just about to go to town again!! YES!! This is AGAIN!! I've been to town
a few time already in my colonial attire!! :D :P And Yes! People turn their heads and look at me,.! But I usually just look right back at them and smile!! :P :D Lol! I've been to walmart twice
(lol! That where most people look at me!! :P), Aldi's once I think, My Teachers "Treble Clef Club" where my sister and I preformed, and then I've gone to my music lessons a few times! :P
:D In the Begining of March I have a recital to go to! And also the Singing Competition in early March!!

Now! As you can see! I've Changed my background!! :D :D :D !! My older sister Rebbi made it!! Shes also making a website for me! :) Where I can sell clothes I make and pattern I make too!! :D YAY!! I love making pattern! I made my brother a waist coat pattern just yesterday!! YAY!! Lol! It turned out really nice too! :D !! The only think is I don't really know how to make the pattern different sizes,.. :( .. Lol! I'm sure I could figure it out!! :P :)

Yay!! *Dances!* So the "New Year" is here! and I'm wearing my colonial clothes!! :D You're all probably like, : "What clothes?" LOL! Well I finished my bedgown!! And my stays!! HURRAY! *dances again!* I don't have shoes though,..... :S Lol! :P Well I kind of do! I'm borrowing my little brothers moccasins! :P (There were indians around!) I could have just forgotten about shoes for awhile if I didn't work out with the animals! But! Since I do! I need something to get through all the mud in the paddock area! (thankfully though the mud is all frozen in the morning!) And Daddy made some sort of little wooden bridge for me just a little bit ago!(Yay! :D ) :P SO I needn't worry about shoes for a little at least! But I do need to worry about a normal colonial gown! So far I have the following!:

-Moccasins
-2 pairs of Stockings
-Garters(Oh! My garters are just strips of leather! :P )
-a Shift
-Stays
-Petticoat
-Begown
-Cap
-and an Apron!

On the 12th of January though, My music teacher wants me and Susan to play and sing(I sing Susan play) at the Treble Cleft Club shes part of. And I REALLY don't want to sing in my work dress,.. :( The bedgown kinda looks like a chinese outfit. Maybe I'm wearing it wrong though! I donno! I 'd really like a recognizable colonial gown though! I still need to order the pattern! :( I think I could finish it though! If I ordered the pattern right away and got RIGHT to work on it!! :S !!! We'll see I guess!!

For my stays, I didn't order any boning! I was thinking about getting metal boning,. and then pounded ash wood boning! But by the time I could have ordered either, it was to late! : ' ( They wouldn't have gotten here in time,.. :( I had only about a week left to figure something out! So!,.. *Sly Grin* "MWAhahahah!!* A-hem!

During the large ice storm all of our trees lost a whole bunch of branches! Including our ash tree! :) :P So I carved boning from the ash tree branches! :P Is that kinda period correct Wendy? lol! They seem to work good! It took a long time and I got 3 blisters from it! Ha,..ha,.. I was working to hard the first time! :P
For my next pair of stays though I definitely plan on buying boning!!! Or if I can get my brother to carve em for me,.. :D :P hehe!

For as not to temp me, me and my mom went through ALL my CLOTHES!!! And put some in bags for friends, some for keep til I'm done and some for the goodwill!! So my drawers are practically empty! *Gasp!* :S Lol! My drawers are usually over flowing! And a large pile of clothes of the floor too! :P Now though!, that shouldn't be a problem!! :) Unless I go crazy wearing colonial clothes and tear through the bags before mom gets them out of the house!! mwahah! :P ! I don't think so though, but who knows!! Maybe I will! :P So! The pictures are of me right before I changed into colonial december 31st! (I had to sleep in shift so I'd wake up colonial! :P ) Then of me after I had changed into my colonial clothes!(Also pictured is a back view of my bedgown and a picture of my stockings!) And I did a test run with doing my animal chores too! :P It was okay, but I didn't know where Blu's moccasins were then,.. I was wearing Ellies, which are way to small!! lol! They worked though! :P I also need to make my cloak! I wrapped myself in a wool blanket! Which I plan on turning into my cloak!! Lol! :P But I'm glad I did that "test run" because now I know I definitely need wool stockings!!

I'm hoping that sometime next year I can go out east! I really don't know if I can go, but I sure hope so! I'd like to visit Wendy and see the fort I've read and heard so much about!!! and also visit my forum friends! Since most of you live out there or around! :D We'll see though! I don't know what'll happen! (Who does though! :P )

I really liked how you did this pattern!! Its was really simple and easy for me to understand!! :D I loved it!

The Cap Pattern was from the Mill Farms pattern company. I got it from 96storehouse.com
They have a whole bunch of Awesome patterns!! :D I Love 'em! They had Wonderful service too! I most definetly plan on doing business with them again!! :D

And the Petticoat,.. the petticoat,.. AH! I can't remember the address of where I got the free petticoats pattern! :S I guess you'll have to wait til I get back on my computer!!

Explanation!,...

Our Electricity has been out since sunday!!!! :'( And its still out! :( Lol! Going REAL Colonial for a few days!! Not really though,.. Lol! Other than we're cooking over a fire!! :P Its been kinda fun! Most of us have been sleeping in the living room in front of the fire! We've been going to bed at like 5:45 pm!(since thats when it gets dark now) and we've gotten to have the dogs sleep in our beds!! YAY!! I love my doggie with me at night! I feel so protected!!! *hugs Jezzi, Ceasar and Quincy* Lol!! But not last night but the last night! Jezzi was in the bed with me and Ceasar was on the ground a little ways away,..WELL!! Every once in awhile Ceasar would just suddenly Bark and growl Really Loud!! Haha!! And it would only be for a second! lol! I was like Ceasar! Whats the matter buddy!? Lol! He must have been dreaming or something! Poor thing!! :P

Well!! I've been working on my stays and bedgown(a work outfit)!! I've gotten all the pieces together for the stays but now I need the boning! So I can't really do anything!,... :( Lol! Not until I get that boning! :S :P Haha! I needa order that like now! Since the electricity's been out I haven't been able too! :( With the Bedgown all I've done is cut the pieces out,.. :(

I needa hurry! Otherwise I'll be running around in my Shift, Cap, Petticoat and half stays!! :S

p.s. the Stays and Bedgown patterns are both J. P. Ryan patterns! I also got them from 96storehouse.com . I like the patterns very much!! So far they have been great! Easy to understand and have a lovely amount of illustrations!! Lol! :P :D

I've finally got some pictures up!! :D lol!
I have so far made a Shift(or Chemise) for me, a Shift my little sister Kajs, a Cap and a Petticoat! But I'm not so sure the Petticoat came out right,... :S lol!
Here is a list though, that Wendy gave me! It has about everything will need!
********************

-4 to 7 shifts

-4 to more petticoats

-A set or 2 of stays

-Pockets

-A few gowns (remember in the time gown did not mean fancy in many cases but worn as work related)

-A bedgown or two (a type of top)

-1 or 2 aprons

-Several pairs of stockings

-Garters

-A few caps

-A hat or bonnet
and

-A cloak.

So! As you can see I still have much to do! I don't have to make all of those just yet, I can make what I need and then make the rest once I get into the year! :)

These pictures are of Kaja's Shift and my cap! The Shift has pleats on the front and the back because I mearsured from Kaja's Neck to Shoulder wrong! :S It was way to big! And it didn't fit me either, so I decided to pleat it! And it turned out real cute I thought! :D :P
