YAY! :D

I've finally got some pictures up!! :D lol!
I have so far made a Shift(or Chemise) for me, a Shift my little sister Kajs, a Cap and a Petticoat! But I'm not so sure the Petticoat came out right,... :S lol!
Here is a list though, that Wendy gave me! It has about everything will need!
********************
-4 to 7 shifts
-4 to more petticoats
-A set or 2 of stays
-Pockets
-A few gowns (remember in the time gown did not mean fancy in many cases but worn as work related)
-A bedgown or two (a type of top)
-1 or 2 aprons
-Several pairs of stockings
-Garters
-A few caps
-A hat or bonnet
and
-A cloak.
********************
So! As you can see I still have much to do! I don't have to make all of those just yet, I can make what I need and then make the rest once I get into the year! :)
**************************
These pictures are of Kaja's Shift and my cap! The Shift has pleats on the front and the back because I mearsured from Kaja's Neck to Shoulder wrong! :S It was way to big! And it didn't fit me either, so I decided to pleat it! And it turned out real cute I thought! :D :P

Great Job Abi!! Your cap turned out really great and to tell you the truth doing shift necklines is hard so don't feel bad...you can also just turn over the hem and run a string through it to draw it up to hold it on the shoulders.

Next shift you do make a small T shaped opening to slip it over your head and then mark the line you would like (well slightly smaller since you need to turn under a narrow hem)

You are doing fantastic!!! Hope we get to meet up someday!

Thank You Wendy!

Oh! I hadn't even thought about doing that! lol! I've seen patterns for shifts with like a drawstring neckline, but it didn't even cross my mind when Kaja's(pronounced kigh-ah) turned out to big! Lol!

Okay! I'll remember that! And make sure to use it sometime too!!

Thank You! Yes! I hope so too! I've been thinking I want to go out east for a little once I'm doing my colonial and find somewhere to reenact or something! Being as there is a lot more colonial history out there than here(Lol! I'm not sure theres ANY here!! :P). But I really don't know if I will or not! I Hope so! :D But I don't know! :( lol! :P We'll see! :D
